with Jo May
Belltable Foyer | Saturday, 8th February | 10am – 12.30pm | Free Event
Suitable for ages 3 – 5 | This is a drop-in workshop, Parents/Guardians must stay and are welcome to join in!
Join visual artist Jo May for a gentle, playful, and joyful exploration of the creative arts for very young children. Young children will be guided in using a range of materials to create their very pieces of art. With the theme of ‘Treehouse’, the possibilities are as infinite as the leaves of the forest!
Creative Creatures Artist Profile: Jo May has been a community arts facilitator since 2008. In this time she has worked with a wide range of people from various backgrounds and levels of ability, but the majority of her practice has been with children and young people. In her work Jo promotes the ideal that everybody can be creative if the desire and necessary support is there.
Jo is a graduate of The National College of Art and Design, The London College of Fashion and Maynooth University, and has worked with a wide range of institutions such as The Ark Cultural Centre for Children and The National Gallery of Ireland. Working as a visual arts facilitator in a collaborative context, Jo believes that art is a medium that can open dialogue and build relationships, investigate possibilities, and encourage play and inclusivity.
