Group 1: 6 – 9 yr | Group 2: 10 – 12 yrs
Following the success of last year’s Easter and mid-term Creative Arts Camps, Belltable is delighted to announce an exciting week of creative fun this coming Easter.
This programme, developed by playwright Liam McCarthy is an opportunity for 6 to 12 year olds to experience drama, singing and movement. The children will take part in specialist workshops including mime, directing, creative writing and visual arts over a jam-packed, fun-filled week in Belltable.
This year’s theme is The Wizard of Oz.
Camp Times: 10am to 3pm (drop off from 9.30am)
Camp Location: Belltable Hub, 69 O’Connell Street, Limerick City (next to Belltable theatre, up the stoop on the left of theatre entrance)
- Packed lunch for small and big break
- Wear comfortable clothes and runners
- Suncream or rain gear depending on weather
Liam McCarthy: Liam has worked as a facilitator and drama teacher with many theatre schools and centres throughout Ireland as well as in Spain, Italy and in the USA. He is currently project manager at the Ark, Dublin a cultural centre for children and has recently worked as a facilitator for Dublin Theatre Festival. Liam is also a playwright and theatre maker and has worked with companies such as The Traverse, Edinburgh, Rough Magic, Druid, Siren Productions, the Samuel Beckett Centre and Octopus Soup theatre. He has worked as a drama teacher with the Independent Theatre Workshop, Dublin and participated in the Belltable: Connect mentorship in 2017. He studied drama at Trinity College Dublin and at UC Berkeley, California.
