Shakespeare in the Glen are proud to present John B. Keane’s masterpiece of Irish theatre, The Field, in a bold new production of the Ben Barnes two act version. Retaining all the character and intensity of Keane’s classic, this new interpretation examines themes of greed, loyalty, love, tradition, and fear. While highlighting Keane’s delightful and entertaining dialogue, a vibrant immediacy is brought to his themes as the infamous events surrounding the selling of the field in Carraigthomond unfold.
