with Aideen McBride

Belltable Hub, Studio 1 | Saturday, 8th February | 11am | €8

Suitable for children age 8+

Develop your storytelling talents in this workshop with one of Ireland’s finest storytellers Aideen McBride. Inspired by well-known folktales and legends, children will not only experience the magic of storytelling, they will also be actively encouraged to develop their own storytelling talents in a fun-filled and imaginative learning experience where both the teller and listener create something truly special. Children will also have an opportunity to share the stories that have each created at the end of the workshop.

Spin A Yarn Artist Profile: Aideen McBride is a native of County Carlow and daughter to storyteller Jack Sheehan. She has been telling stories in schools, libraries and festivals with children, adults and family groups for over 20 years. Of special interest to her is the collecting and preservation of stories and she has collected stories from her home county to add to the archives of the National Folklore Collection in UCD.
